Rebirth of the Eastern Wisdom

Tibetan Shirodhara This spa ritual brings together four Tibetan massage treatments to create a seamless rhythm that will lead you into a very peaceful and profoundly deep state of relaxed awareness. Special energy points help to release mental tensions, gentle warmth and massage to the abdomen and feet settle the mind and relax the face, all of which lead into an anointing of the forehead with warm sesame oil. This deceptively simple technique of playing a fine stream of warm oil on the middle of the forehead recharges the body, brings clarity to the mind, and offers a quiet pace to experience our true selves.
The shirodhara treatment can evoke an extremely deep relaxing state and have a profound effect on the psyche. It is not uncommon for some clients to experience dreamlike states, lights, colors, and/or strong emotions. Others simply experience lightness, clarity, and sense of open awareness that is both freeing and somewhat magical.
Experiences like these in our mental state can often leave us feeling more open, but sometimes a little more vulnerable. For this reason we strongly recommend that you do not drive, return directly to work, or go to any circumstances that you deem to be stressful immediately after your shirodhara treatment. Allow at least 30 minutes after your treatment to dress slowly and be our guest for our tea, coffee or snack. Then return to a place that is quiet and supportive for a few hours.
You get the greatest benefit if you leave the oil in your hair for a minimum of an hour, but overnight are best. Oil is best removed by applying shampoo before you get your hair wet. 90 minutes – $115.00
Chakra Balancing with Hot Stones:
Chakras are the seven subtle energy centers in the body which affect our equilibrium and inner harmony and through which one's life force energy flows. Recognized in both Ayurvedic and Chinese philosophies, blocked congeste Chakras can affect the body and mind both emotionally and physically.
Charka balancing begins as the body is massaged with a highly concentrated blend of aromatherapy oils using volcanic hot stones. Stones are carefully placed on body Chakras as vital energy points on both hands and feet for balance and grounding. Gentle stretching helps release deep–seated tension around neck and shoulders. Critical tension points are massages around the eyes and ears before an acupressure head massage is given to calm and soothe the mind and spirit. The end result is a rejuvenated sense of equilibrium.

Seventh Heaven Treatment:
The Seventh Heaven treatment brings a sense of peace and strength, purpose and vision of where you should be going on your path. Only a few Renu therapists do this treatment. They are healers. The essential oils, their connection to plants and earth, remind us of our real purpose, our inner eye to our relation with the earth.
This unique treatment involves a massage therapist applying eight different high–grade essential oils to various points of the body. The treatment begins with the therapist introducing the client to the eight essential oils, each given a name, such as Awaken, Sacred Mountain, or Dream Catcher, and entwined with meaning.
Next, the massage therapist applies White Angelica to his or her own body, to strengthen his or her aura. Then, White Angelica is applied to the bottom of the client's right and then left foot. The feet are held and the client is asked to take a deep breath and exhale. The massage therapist waits for a synchronized pulse and then a 50– minute full body massage begins with Awaken essential oil.
After the massage, the Seventh Heaven ritual begins. Starting with Awaken at the Adam's apple and continuing on to Dream Catcher applied behind the client's ear, the massage therapist applied each essential oil to specific points of the body. As each essential oil is applied, the therapist says, "Inhale the Dream Catcher", or "Inhale the Inspiration", naming each essential oil that is used at that time. Finally, a 20– minute rest ensures thereby ending the treatment.

Stationary Cupping 20 min - Cupping is an ancient therapy which was widely used in folk medicine around the world and is still used by modern practitioners. Cupping is a particularly useful therapy for the treatment of muscular aches and pains such as back ache, frozen shoulder and so on.Cupping involves the application of glass cups to specific areas of the body, this is achieved by holding a small flame inside the cup to create a vacuum. The cups are then placed quickly on the skin over the point or area to be treated and left in place for up to 15 minutes. This causes the skin to be sucked up into the cup encouraging the flow of Qi and blood and clearing local stagnation. Occasionally moving cupping will be applied, this requires a layer of oil to be applied to the Skin before the cups, this allows the cups to slide over the skin, applying suction to a large area to draw out the 'evil Qi'.Cupping causes blood to be drawn into the small blood vessels just below the skin and may cause purple wheals or bruises to form for a short time.
Cupping is particularly useful for moving stagnant Qi and blood I and expelling exterior pathogens such as wind and damp. It is used for musculo-skeletal problems and often for conditions such as asthma, colds and flu.

Indian Head Massage:
The Indian Head Massage is a form of massage therapy that is simple, gentle, and noninvasive enough for almost anyone to receive. It is adapted from techniques in Ayurvedic medicine to specifically reduce strain, and tension in the head, face and neck.
Treatment normally begins with a deep kneading and probing of the neck and shoulder muscles. At times similar to Osteopathy but with no crunching or cracking of joints. The head is then worked with the scalp being squeezed, rubbed, gently tapped and prodded. The hair is briskly tussled and gently combed.
Pressure points are gently worked on and the ears are tugged and pressed. Lastly the practitioner moves to the face, working with acupressure points to help relieve any sinus pressure, stimulate the circulation and increase alertness. The face is also very gently stroked.
Once a massage has been completed the client should remain at rest for at least 20 minutes.

REIKI:
Renu Day Spa proudly introduces Usui Reiki System, one of the most sophisticated healing services.
Energy healing is the process of bringing all aspects of a person into natural balance or harmony, leading to a healthy stress free body. Results include a reduction of pain or discomfort, a boost of the immune system, a feeling of total body relaxation, renewed and rapid healing of injuries and an increase in optimism and happiness.
Life Reiki (Ray–key) means universal life energy. As "conduits" for this energy, Reiki practitioners apply light touch around to the receiver's clothed body, allowing the energy "to flow through their hands and into the receiver." The energy will go where the receiver needs it at that particular time. Different hand positions are used on the head, abdomen, back and elsewhere to help restore physical and emotional well being.
